The American Career College (ACC), a health care and medical college, presented an exceptional opportunity to create a new paradigm for a college that changes lives. The two-story, 60,000-square-foot facility provides contemporary classrooms, laboratories, and administrative offices. Rather than creating a place with solid walls and lackluster spaces, the opposite was accomplished. Students now interact in a stimulating learning environment, enhanced by the utilization of transparent classrooms, inspiring graphics, and a distinctive and welcoming quad area.

The central social space on campus, The Quad, was internalized to provide a protected area where students gather between classes, relax, and study. This enjoyable space incorporates artificial turf, park-like benches and colorful furniture to create an engaging “out of classroom” area.
