In 2005 I was tasked with designing / developing an industrial laser marking system that would be the centerpiece for a new startup called Radian Laser Systems, LLC.  The proprietary technology was licensed under Wayne Shaffer of Icon Industries, to be used in the textile manufacturing industry.

This project was a great opportunity to cut my teeth on bringing a new business, technology, and large scale product to market from the ground floor.  In the beginning, since our team  was just a handful of people, I wore many hats which included: industrial design, manufacturing, systems integration, business development, marketing, branding, government approvals, and field/technical support.

Radian Laser Systems are designed to etch and cut on a wide range of materials including fabrics, woods, acrylics, and more.

The original Radian Laser Systems are being used by prestigious textile manufacturing companies, such as Quiksilver and Colorado Timberline.  The company is headquartered in Anaheim, CA and has expanded their product line to include a diverse range of laser marking products & services – which can be found at radianlaser.com
